Jim, my neighbour in Cliff Rd Epping

Jim and his wife Jean were neighbours when we lived in Cliff Road Epping NSW in the 80s and 90s. One story Jim told me about his time in Changi.
Firstly, when a Thai family moved into our street he said to me "I don't mind the Thais." I asked "Why is that Jim?" He replied "When we were working on the railway and the Japanese guards weren't watching, they would toss us a piece of fruit." He never stopped appreciating that kindness.
