ROBERT HENRY BUTT

ROBERT HENRY BUTT (1892-1961) born at Toual, Kirkdale, son of George and Lydia Butt nee Southwell. Private 54386, 34th Battalion, had enlisted on April 20th, 1918 at Liverpool. He embarked on the HMAT D60 Feldmarschall at Sydney on June 19th, 1918. and arrived in London on August 26th. After training in England with the 48th Battalion he sailed for France in June 1919. Then on July 22nd, 1919 on board the Ulysses. for return to Australia where he received his discharge on September 19th. [DAVIS OF GOUNYAN - ROLL OF HONOUR - BM Pittman]
