Detached to 1st Cavalry Division Signals in Cowra NSW. Appointed Despatch Rider. Appointed Lance Corporal on 3rd Jan 1942. Transferred to Eastern Command Training School (Motor Cycle wing) at Cowra on 3rd February 1942.
24 Aug 1942:	Enlisted Australian Military Forces (WW2) , Lance Corporal, NX114935
24 Aug 1942:	Transferred Australian Military Forces (WW2) , 1st Motor Transport Company, Signed Attestation Form and allotted Army No NX114935. Transferred to Australian Infantry Forces - 1st Motor Division.
7 Jun 1943:	Embarked Australian Military Forces (WW2) , NX114935, 8th Corps Signals, Transferred to HQ 8th Service (Carrier Pigeon) Australian Corps of Signals. On 23 Jul 1943 Embarked from Townsville per transport ship "Janssens". Disembarked at Milne Bay New Guinea. On 27 Jul 1943 to 2nd HQ Carrier Pigeons. Detached to 1st Australian Water Transport on 10 Nov 1943.
10 Jan 1944:	Embarked Australian Military Forces (WW2) , Lance Corporal, NX114935, 8th Corps Signals, Evacuated with malaria on 10 Jan 1944. Transferred to Australian Discharge and Reception Centre on 22 Jan 1944. Embarked from Lae to Townsville on 17 May 1944. Admitted to 2/2 Australian General Hospital on 20 Jul 1944. Rejoined unit on 4 Aug 1944. Rejoined 8th Pigeon Section 27 Oct 1944. Embarked from Townsville 20 May 1945. Disembarked at Morotai Island, Indonesia on 29 May 1945. To Balikpapan on 26 Jun 1945. Transferred to 7th Division from 8th Pigeon Section on 15 Nov 1945. Transferred to Leave and Transit Depot 23 Dec 1945.
