He was 21 and a son of William and Sarah Lawlor, of "The Oaks," Buxton, Victoria, Australia.
His elder brother, Private Leonard Joseph Lawlor Service Number 2144, 6th Bn.,Australian Infantry, A.I.F. fell at Gallipoli in 1915.
