Born in Toodyay WA in 1919, Gordon was the fourth of five children on Oliver George Page (b1884 in Parkside, South Australia) and Alice Kathleen Anderson (b1893 in Caversham, Swan Valley, WA). Oliver (a Farm Hand) and Alice married in Northam WA in 1914 and settled in Toodyay to raise their family. Oliver had arrived in WA in the early 1900s, working as a Labourer and Farm Hand in Greenhills, Muresk and Balkuling, York before becoming a 'Machinery Expert' by 1917. He was later a Mechanic.
Gordon was working as a Cellarman in Armadale WA when he enlisted in the ACMF (Private; Service No:W9137). He was attached to 16th Infantry Battalion when he was Discharged in January 1944. Brothers Oliver, Roy and William also served in WWII.
In 1942 Gordon married Olga Hope Champion (b1920 in Armadale, WA). Gordon and Olga settled in Armadale WA where Gordon worked as an Apiarist and Truck Driver. He died in 1988.
