OBITUARY
Dr. Oswald Joynt, senior medical officer at Mont Park Hygienic Hospital, who died suddenly on Wednesday, was the son of Mr J Kelly Joynt. He was born in 1885 and was educated at the Melbourne Grammar School, which he entered in 1897. He won a Foundation scholarship in the following year, and passing matriculation in 1900, went on to the Melbourne University, where he graduated M.B. Ch.B. in 1907. He was practising at Wangaratta when war broke out. He enlisted in 1916 and embarked on No 1 Australian hospital ship Karoola. He served abroad till his return to Australia in September, 1917, and was attached to the Defence department until December 13, 1918, when
he was discharged. He had been at Mont Park since 1928.
