Wilfred's (Bill) service records show that he served in Ceylon and New Guinea.
'I remember him talking about being on the Kokoda Trail. He said that he slipped in the mud and at the same time the soldier behind him was hit by a sniper's bullet. He worked as a dairyman and woodcutter after the war' (S. Hore, niece).
