Walter Tasman Kearney (ID 538) on his enlistment to WW1 stated his NOK was a friend, Olive Rhodes in Western Australia and that he was a drover. He stated that other relatives were dead - His father died in 1914, but his mother didn't die until 1932. He went overseas to war and in August 1919 married Jessie Mary Knight in Marylebone, Middlesex, England, in August of 1919. He was back in Australia in December 1919. In 1936 Walter and Jessie lived 15 McNae Street, Moonee Ponds, Victoria. He was described as a hairdresser and of course she was doing home duties. Walter died in 1956 and was buried in the Fawkner Memorial Park as is Jessie who died in 1973.
