Alexander Norman MacALISTER was born in 1858 in Gouburn, NSW

His parents were Colin MacALISTER and Agnes McKAY who married in NSW in 1841

He died after falling and hitting the back of his head at the Grosvenor Hotel, but the death was found to be due to natural causes - he had only returned from the war a few days and had not been discharged from duty as yet
