William Michael aged 28 when he enlisted, son of Frederick Michael and Ann Elizabeth Skerman. William's father selected land at Mt Samson from 1874 and served on the Pine Divisional Board from 1888 through to 1890. His mother's family was pioneers of Harrisons Pocket and settled there in 1868. William enlisted 9 October 1916 at Brisbane his occupation is listed as a farmer. On the 1913 Commonwealth Electoral Rolls William is living with his parents at Samsonvale. William was killed in action, aged 30.
