Albert was the son of Robert Joseph Tymms and Anna Augusta Tymms nee Magee.
Married in 1917 in Durban, South Africa to Staff Nurse Henrietta Eyre Maunsell Blake.
After the death of Henrietta in 1959 Albert married Mary Shields Miller.
