Private John James Willis (Service No:V367652) enlisted in the ACMF on 17 May 1942 and was attached to 11 Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps when he was Discharged on 20 September 1945.

Born in 1914 in Druin Victoria, Jack was the youngest of three children of George Henry Willis (b1881 in Huntly, Victoria) and Eliza Jane Smith (b1883 in Warragul, Victoria). George (a Farmer) and Eliza married in 1905 and settled at Drouin where they raised their family and George was a Farmer.

Jack was a Farmer at Nilma and in 1950 married Betty May Green (b1919 in Warragul, Victoria). Jack and Betty settled at Nilma where Jack was a Farmer. Jack died in 1994 and Betty in 2014.
