Bartholomew was the son of James Bermingham and Ivy Frances Bermingham nee Thomas.
Married Aileen Elsie Durward in 1945.
Their son, Peter Wayne was killed when his ship, HMAS Voyager, went down.
Peter Wayne was born on 11.7.1946 in Melbourne and died on 10.2.1964 in Jervis Bay, New South Wales aged 17.
