At the time of enlistment Michael has residing in Northampton, WA, Member of the local rifle club

Son of Thomas O'Donnell and Annie O'Donnell of Junee Reefs, NSW

Commenced return to Australia on 23 August 1917 aboard HT Boorara arriving on 19 September 1917 at Perth. On 1 November 1917 he re-embarked on HT Borda for Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.
