Private Donald William Henderson (Service No:W70667) served in the ACMF with 5 Battalion VDC from 12 April 1942 to 31 July 1944 (Reserves List).

Born in Perth, Western Australia in 1911, Don was fourth of seven children of William John Henderson (b1876 in Natamuk, Victoria) and Elsie May Nash (b1883 in Goolwa, South Australia). William was a Carter in Mildura, Victoria in 1911 when he and Elsie married. By 1904 the family had moved to Western Australia, where they lived briefly in Perth before settling at Scotts Brook via Boyup Brook, where they raised their family and William was a Farmer.

Don was a Labourer at Glen Dale, Scotts Brook in 1932 when he married Amelia Eveleen Waters (b1903 in Bridgetown, WA). He and Amelia settled at Winnijup via Brisgetown, where they raised their family and Don was a Farmer. By 1950 Don and Amelia had moved to Albany, where Don was a Contractor and Farmer. By the early 1970s they were in Perth, where Amelia died in 1978 and Don in 1983.
