Private Alan Rogers Scott (Service No:W70556) served in the ACMF (Part Time Duties) with 5 Battalion VDC from 23 April 1942 to 15 October 1945. Three older half brothers (Douglas, Percy and Roy) served in WWI.

Alan was born in Bunbury, Western Australia in 1923, second of three children of William Proctor Scott (b1856 in Eelup via Bunbury, Western Australia) and his second wife Esther Elizabeth Clara Fraser (b1882 in Buller, New Zealand). William (a Widower and Farmer) and Esther (Postmistress at Boyanup) married in 1920 and settled at Roselands in Minninup via Stratham, where they raised their family and William was a Farmer. 

Alan was a Farmer at Roselands, Stratham in 1942 when he enlisted in the ACMF. In 1945 in Perth, Alan married Helen Irene Wright (b1926 in Perth, Western Australia) and the couple settled at Roselands, Stratham where they raised their family and Alan was a Farmer. Alan and Helen moved to Perth in the early 1970s - Helen died in 2006 and Alan in 2012.
