Private Cecil Frederick Morris (Service No:N233764) served in the ACMF with 7 Battalion (NSW) VDC from 2 April 1942 to 30 September 1945. His application to enlist in the AIF in 1918 was rejected (medical).

Cecil was born in Sydney, New South Wales in 1895, fourth of seven children of Frederick James Morris (b1864 in Dorset, England) and Vida Marsden Alderson (b1867 in Sydney, New South Wales). Frederick was a Labourer in Dorset in 1885 when he immigrated, arriving in Sydney on board the Garonne. He and Vida married in 1889 in Sydney, where they settled and raised their family and Frederick was a Traveller.

Cecil worked as a Warehouseman and Salesman in Sydney, where in 1928 he married his first wife Dorothy Sarah Dickson (b1895 in Murrumburrah, New South Wales). Cecil and Dorothy settled in Sydney, where they raised their family and Cecil worked as a Commercial Traveller/Salesman. Following Dorothy's death in 1954, Cecil remarried in 1959 to Una Beatrice Smee (nee McLean; b1904 at Wallabadah via Tamworth, New South Wales) - Una was working in Balgolwah, Sydney as a Clerk. Cecil and Una lived in Sydney until the mid 1960s when they settled in Woy Woy - Cecil worked as a Commercial Traveller and Estate Agent. Una died in 1977 and Cecil in 1978.
