Born in Northam WA in 1895, Aubrey was the fifth of seven children of Edward (Ned) Henry Charles Christmass (b1868 in Kunine, Northam, WA) and Mary Jane Ralph (b1869 in Toodyay, WA). Ned (a Farmer) and Mary married in 1889 in Toodyay WA and settled at Grass Valley in Northam to raise their family. 

Aubrey was a Farmer at Grass Valley in Northam WA in 1920 when he married Minnie Smith Oliver (b1899 in Northam WA). Aubrey and Minnie settled at Grass Valley where they raised their family. In July 1942 Aubrey enlisted in the ACMF (Private; Service No:W73597) and was attached to 9th Battalion VDC when he was Discharged in October 1945. Son Arthur (Trooper; Service No:WX26079/W405) served in WWII and Doug (Private; Service Nos:WX500443/W40901) served in the ACMF and from 1946 in the Interim Army in Japan.

Aubrey died in 1966 and Minnie in 1994.
