Arnold Thomas Piggott was born in Bunbury Western Australia. The Piggott family is an original settler family that came to WA in 1832 on the ship Trustee. Many descendants are still in the Peel region. Arnold was an active community member after the war , served on the Metro Main Roads Board and was a senior Freemason in WA.

He and his wife had three children and in turn there are many grandchildren and great grandchildren in Western Australia.
