Private Henry William Peters (Service No:W84971) served in the ACMF from 26 January 1942 to 9 June 1945. Private Peters was attached to 12 Battalion VDC.

Born in 1910 in Northam WA, Henry was the third (and only son) of four children of Henry (Harry) William Peters (b1883 in Liverpool, NSW) and Mary Alice Groce (b1881 in Timor, Victoria). Harry (a Labourer) and Mary were in Northam, WA by 1906 and in Narrogin (where Harry was a Caretaker) in 1912, before moving to Geraldton where Harry worked as a Crane Driver at Bluff Point. By 1931 the family was living in Merredin where Harry was a Fitter's Assistant before moving to Donnybrook - Harry worked as a Pumper. Harry and Mary retired to Guildford in the early 1950s.

Henry worked as a Mill Hand in Donnybrook and in 1938 in Bunbury he married Jessie Ireland (b1912 in Bunbury, WA). Henry and Jessie were living in Buckingham Mill via Collie in  1942 - Henry was a Winch Driver - and then lived in Balingup and Fremantle where Henry was an Engine Driver.
