Philip Morgan BEVAN was born in Kapunda, South Australia on the 16th February 1874, the second eldest son of John BEVAN and Margaret ROBERTS.
His siblings were;
William Thomas 1871- 1935
Mary Ann 1876 - 1950 (later DOWSETT)
John Laurence 1880 - 1947
David Roberts - 1889 - 1917
Philip married Ethel Alice PHILPS (1884 - 1935) on the 26th of October 1912 in the Methodist Manse Morphett Street Adelaide. Philip adopted her daughter Thelma.
Philip enlisted on the 17th December 1915 at the age of 41.
Philip's younger brother, David also enlisted and was killed in action on the 3rd of May 1917.
Philip returned to Australia and was discharged as medically unfit in November 1917, dying as a result in February 1918 at the Daw Park Hospital for returned servicemen.
