Maud was the daughter of Daniel Riordan and Hannah Agnes Riordan nee Dixon.
Maud enlisted as a Sister with the Australian Army Nursing Service on 2.6.1917 and embarked on 12.6.1917 from Melbourne per 'Mooltan'. Served in Salonika. Returned to Australia on 13.10.1919 per 'Anchises'. Discharged as medically unfit 21.11.
Maud married John Joseph Patrick Seery – the couple divorced in 1929.
On 21.3.1957 Maud passed away at St. Mary’s, N.S.W.
