Son of Daniel O'Meara and Ellen O'Meara nee Bronsan of Belgrave Terrace, College Park, SA.
Brother of Vincent Bronsan O'Meara who was killed in action on 2 April 1917 while serving with the 51st Battalion and is buried in the H.A.C. Cemetery. Name appears on Special Memoria A, Panel 9.
Commenced return to Australia on 17 March 1917 aboard HS Beltana disembarking on 15 May 1917
