An appointment approved by all and sundry is that of Sister Spriggins of Brighton, Victoria, as second permanent matron-in-charge of women migrants to Australia. Miss Spriggins has seen life in many lands and climes, and under varied conditions. She is an understanding woman, and should prove a great help to women leaving their home land to settle in far off Australia. Nurse Spriggins was Charge Sister of the Adelaide Government Hospital, then war years followed, and work was done in Egypt, India, England & France.
