The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders, a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 107 + 269. Prior to the war he was a plumber of Haberfield NSW. He enlisted 26th Jan 1915, aged 21 years. He served with the 5th Infantry Battalion, survived the war, and departed the UK for home 5th Mar 1919.

Our grandfather Andrew Kilpatrick
Andrew Kilpatrick, met and married Margaret (Pegi) McNiven while on leave in Glasgow, Scotland on 2nd June 1917. Their first son, Andrew Charles Kilpatrick, was born 27th May 1918 in Glasgow. Their second son, my father, William McNiven Kilpatrick was born 15th June 1920 in Melbourne. My grandfather (Andrew Kilpatrick) died in Ballarat on 5th November 1974.
