At the time of enlistment George was stationed at Victoria Barracks, QLD
Son of George William Osbaldiston and Margaret (Mary) Jane Osbaldiston nee Dowse of Loco Branch, Railway Depot, Townsville, QLD.
Prior to enlisting in the AIF George had served in the Navy for over four years and was and had been serving with the Royal Australian Engineers for over two years at the time of enlistment.
Commenced return to Australia on 22 January 1920 aboard HT Friedichsruh disembarking on 12 March 1920 at Sydney for onward travelt by rail to Brisbane.
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
On 16 March 1926 George married Iris Matilda Martin in QLD.
At the time of his death George's residential address was Auchenflower, QLD.
