The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 98, 100 + 269. Prior to the war he was a labourer of Bellingen NSW. He enlisted 19th Feb 1917 aged 17 years. He enlisted into the 11th Machine Gun Company, but obviously spent some time with the 9th Infantry Battalion. He earned a Military Medal for his activities during the war. He survived, and departed the UK for home 2nd Jan 1919.
