"MARTIN OWENS O'BRYAN
Mr Martin Owens O'Bryan whose death occurred on April 26 at the Roma District Hospital removes one of the first settlers on the Mount Abundance Resumption. Coming from New South Wales in 1927 shortly and afterwards drawing a block which he improved and in 1931 sold out and purchased Oaklands, a property at Bymount, Roma and bred and grazed cattle and sheep. After 15 years he sold out and retired, and came to reside in Roma. The late Mr. O'Bryan was genial and a very good neighbour, well liked by all. He saw four years service in WorldWar I. He leaves a widow and two sons and two daughters. The funeral from the Church of the Sacred Heart was attended by representatives of the R.S.L. and many friends and former neighbours. Rev. Father R.
