Husband of Patricia Mary CHAMP nee BRISBANE

Jack was a Prisoner of War at Oflag VB Biberach.

EVIDENTLY Lieut. J. W. K. Champ, of Geelong, and Lieut. Johnnie Rawson: of St. Kilda, who were mentioned in The Sun on Saturday as having played many games of poker in a  German prison camp with Lord Lascelles, eider son of Princess Mary, sister of the King, did not spend ail their time at cards, for it is learned that they made considerable use of the  Red Cross Educational Book Section for Prisoners of War, and encouraged one another in their studies.

Lieutenant J. W. K. Champ, only son of Mr and Mrs C. A. Champ, Noble st, Geelong, who was captured in Greece four years ago. While a POW he continued his studies, passing  Oxford University examinations in advanced accountancy, economics, and law. Before enlisting he was on the staff of the Ford Motor Co at Geelong. He is engaged to Miss Daisy  Shoebridge, of Geelong.
