Arthur Adams
Arthur Adams served in both WW1 and WW1. During WW1 he served in the 9th Reinf Aus Flying Corp as a wireless operator. (SERN 1576) He served in France and was then transferred to London. He finally returned to Australia in Oct 1919. Arthur married Anna Sophia Frederica (known as Girlie) Jessen in 1921 at St Pauls Church, Maryborough. During WW11 Arthur and Girlie were living at Toowoomba when Arthur enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Force (Q155623)Arthur died in 1965 whilst in Melbourne, possibly on a holiday as they lived in Camp Hill, Brisbane and his wife continued to live there until her death 5 years later.

Early years: Arthur Adams was born in Ipswich, Queensland. The date of his birth and death are still unknown. His mother, Mrs Emily Adams lived on Park Road, South Brisbane, Queensland, however there are no records of Arthur's father.
Occupation and Embarkation: Before enlisting for World War 1, Arthur was known to be a postal electrician. At the young age of 24, he embarked aboard HMAT A74 Marathon from Sydney to be a part of the Australian Flying Corps (October 1916 - October 1917).
Religion: Church of England.
Marital Status: Single.
War Service: Western Front.
Medals: Arthur was known to have recieved two medals, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
His last official records state that his fate was "Effective Abroad (still overseas)"
