Reginald Thomas Jackson Wamsley
Reginald joined WW1 on 8 November 1915 in Sydney. The story passed down was that he was prevented by his father from embarking for overseas duty. Reginald was assigned to Holsworthy Concentration Camp. He was discharged from military duty on the 10 May 1917. On the 15 February 1930 he enlisted in the Australian Militia Forces (Part Time Duty) at Sydney and allotted Army Number 283090 55th Infantry Battalion. Commenced full time duty in Australian Citizen Military Forces at Bathurst and reallocated Army Number A46138. Reginald it appears put his age down to join the Army as he was born in 1887 and not 1892. He was discharged from Citizen Military Forces on 3 June 1942 as being medically unfit for service not occasioned by his own benefit. He received War Medal.
