MR. H. A. PARDOE.
The death occurred last night in the Grafton District Hospital of Mr. Hanson A. Pardoe, of 63 Pound street, Grafton, better known as Mr. "Jack" Pardoe, at the age of 67 years. He had resided in the district for between 20 and 30 years. He was employed at the Grafton Experiment Farm for a number of years and enlisted from there. He was on active service for about three years at the war and was for about six months a prisoner of war in Germany. After his return from the war he was employed at the Experiment Farm until his health brought about his retirement. He is survived by a widow, two sons, Messrs. Dudley and Will Pardoe, and one daughter, Mrs. M. Gerrard, of Great Marlow.
The funeral will move from H. H. Sanders' Funeral Chapel, Duke street, at 10 a.m. to-morrow (Saturday), and it is expected that returned soldiers will attend to pay a last tribute to a former comrade.
