William Andrew McAllister was born in Larne Antrim, the son of John William McAllister and Annie Crawford Magill. He travelled to Australia and married Ruby Isabel Marwick in 1934 in Victoria, Australia. He joined the Australian Citizen Military Forces B884 during World War 2.
