Private John Richard Boulton (Service No:N237420) served in the ACMF with 7 Battalion VDC from 27 March 1942 to 30 September 1945.
Richard John Boulton (NSW BDM Registration No:31574/1901) was born in Sydney, New South Wales in 1901, third of seven children of Arthur Edward Boulton (b1876 in Christchurch, New Zealand) and Evelyn (Eva) Mary Moroney (b1878 in Sydney, New South Wales). Arthur (a Coach Trimmer) and Eva (a Domestic Servant) married in 1899 in Sydney, where they settled and raised their family and Arthur was a Coach/Motor Trimmer.
Richard was working in Sydney as a Salesman in 1929 when he married Olive Frances Wright (b1903 in Sydney, New South Wales). Richard and Olive lived in Sydney before moving to Brisbane in 1934 - Richard worked as a Salesman. The family returned to Sydney in the late 1930s, and Richard was working as a Control Officer with the Department of Control and Development in 1942 when he enlisted in the ACMF. Richard and Olive settled in Sydney, where they raised their family and Richard worked as a Salesman. Olive died in 1968, and Richard was in Brisbane when he died in 1970.
