Biography

Nathaniel joined the Australian Imperial Force on 11 September 1915. Was unfit for His Majesty’s Service due to loss of fingers (2½ fingers of right hand missing). He served as trooper with the 1st Victorian Remounts in Egypt and Palestine. He returned to Australia 29 August, 1919 per ‘Burma’ and discharged 3 December 1919.

Nathaniel were for many years employed by the Victorian Railways, at Spencer Street, and upon his retirement some years later he returned to Mansfield to live with his sister.
