Richard Mercer Johnson was married at St John's Church, Young on Wednesday, December 19, 1928 in front of a big crowd to Mary Gordon, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs H E Barrit of Burrangong. It was a big wedding, performed by Rev Canon Howell. The service was fully Choral... A plaque has been installed at Saint Xavier's Cathedral, Goulburn, in honour of the work carried out floodlighting the church and other great services.
