Private Arthur Nellthorp Quibell (Service No:V365182) served in the ACMF with 13th Battalion VDC from 27 March 1942 to 19 September 1945.

Arthur was born in Elaine, Victoria in 1886, fourth of eight children of Alfred Thomas Nellthorp-Quibell (b1862 in Ballarat, Victoria) and Isabella Jessie Kynoch (b1862 in Ballarat, Victoria). Alfred (a Butcher) and Isabella married in 1881 in Ballarat, and lived there and at Mt Doran, Elaine via Ballarat and Boort in the Wimmera. Alfred worked as a Butcher and Trapper, and he and Isabella separated in the early 1900s - Isabella remarried.

Arthur was a Railways Employee in 1912 when he married Isabella (Bell) Edith Morriss (b1888 in Dimboola, Victoria) in Melbourne, where Bell was living. Arthur worked for the Railways until the 1950s, and he and Bell lived in Sale, Bruthen and Stratford. Arthur died in 1953 and Bell in 1960.
