JOHN CHARLES SCROGGY
JOHN CHARLES SCROGGY (1889-1958) born at Preston, Derbyshire, England, son of Robert Frederick and Alice Scroggy nee Dickson. John enlisted to serve in WW1 as Driver 7684, 1st Pack Wireless Signal Troop on October 18th, 1916. he embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Saidanha A12 and was listed to return to Australia on January 10th, 1918.
Then during WW2, John served twice in the CMF. He enlisted at Darlinghurst on October 14th, 1939 and served until November 13th, 1939 as Private N 69487 in the 11th Garrison Battalion. Secondly as Private N99215 from April 14th, 1944 to October 23rd, 1945 in the ECOD.
