Son of : Ilmar Aroo Westerlund
(1895–1965) and Ethel May Upex
(1899–1980) and siblings:
 
after the war  his census address was La Perouse, Cook, New South Wales, Australia. No marriage record found; His younger brother Ilmas John, died young at 11 yrs; his older brother Keith married Judith in NSW. Au.
