Add my storyBiography contributed by Alan Ward
I first met Verdun Irvine and his wife Ruth (Hazelton)Irvine at Toogong in 1960. They had a son, Robert, a son Max, and a daughter, (can't remember her name)
The 3000 acre Irvine property was just out of Toogong on the Forbes road and they farmed cattle and planted quite a large area of wheat.
I was a young boy of 17 and was working for Ruth Irvine's brother, Max Hazelton, founder of Hazelton Airlines.
Verdun helped give me a start in life and I am forever greatful.
I think Robert Irvine and his wife Lynn moved to a property near MT Conobalas in later years.
Best regards
Alan Ward
