Private Eric Robert Morris (Service No:N469633) served in the ACMF with 7th Battalion (NSW) VDC from 8 June 1942 to 11 February 1945.

Born in Kogarah, Sydney, New South Wales in 1902, Eric was fifth of six children of Frederick James Morris (b1864 in Dorset, England) and Vida Marsden Alderson (b1867 in Sydney, New South Wales). Frederick was a Labourer in Dorset in 1885 when he immigrated, arriving in Sydney in 1885 on board the Garonne. Frederick and Vida married in 1889 in Sydney, where they settled and raised their family and Frederick was a Traveller.

Eric worked as a Warehouseman in Sydney, where in 1938 he married Winifred Faith Payne (b1914 in Sydney, New South Wales). Eric and Winifred settled in Sydney, where they raised their family and Eric was a Salesman until retirement. Following Winifred's death in 1970, Eric moved to Lake Conjola via Shoalhaven, where he died in 1982.
