Gordon served in the 2/9th Australian Infantry Battalion. He served in the Islands with special Z Force Commandos. He attained the rank of Corporal during the WW2. Later he joined the CMF and attained the rank of Warrant Officer.
Gordon lived in Karoonda, Woomera and Adelaide
Gordon was cremated and his ashes are in the Wall of Memorial for Return Servicemen.
He was a Baker and Pastry cook and had his own business.
