Stanley aka Pop, was a hard father but cherished his grandchildren. He was father to 3 sons and one daughter. He worked in factories after returning from the War. The War was a fight he never believed in. He was enlisted as part of the national call up, so had no choice but fight in something he felt wasn't his place to fight albeit he received several medals for his service and bravery. Behind a very hard man was a man with a massive heart. Unfortunately he lost his wife Mavis in 74' after 37yrs of marriage and believed to have been caused by an aneurism, which is how their only daughter would also die. Sadly their youngest grandaughter was only one at the time of Mavis' passing she too would also grow up to have 3 sons and one daughter also.
