Husband of  Daisy Florence O'Bryant nee Lang of Church Street, East Richmond, Victoria. James and Daisy married during 1896c in Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 18 March 1918 aboard HT Donvegan Castle then transhipped to HT Tofua disembarking on 14 June 1918
