Notes on Walter 'Wally' Bell
A former Colac football player, Wally signed up to the Army with his brother John. They travelled to Alexandria (Egypt), Libya, Greece and then Crete.
Wally escaped capture at Crete but received an injury which led to his discharge before the end of the war.
