Son of Robert John Lewis Foxton and Harreitt Ann Foxton of Crookwell, NSW. Brother of Leonard Vincet Foxton who returned to Australia wounded on 12 May 1918 having served with the 35th Battalion

Returned to Australia on the 4 July 1919 aboard HT Wiltshire disembarking on the 20 August 1919
