Born in Collingwood, Melbourne, Victoria in 1918 Keith was the ninth of ten children of Edward Charles Roberts (b1869 in Bendigo, Victoria) and Adela Lovie (b1875 in Tootgarook, Mornington Peninsular, Victoria). Edward (a Draper) and Adela married in 1904 in Melbourne where they settled and raised their family. Edward worked as Draper, Grocer and Salesman.
In 1940 Keith was a Wood Machinist and Motor Driver in Melbourne, Victoria when he enlisted in the ACMF (Sapper; Service No:V63830). He served with 2 Field Coy RAE 4 Division until Demobilistaion in August 1945.
Keith married Isabella Keltie Thomson (b1920 in Glasgow, Scotland) - Isabella had immigrated with her parents and siblings in the late 1920s. Keith and Isabella settled in Melbourne, Victoria where Keith worked as Carter. Isabella died in 1997 and Keith in 2002.
