Born Harold William McGavin Bardwell in Brisbane, to Frederick James Bardwell and Elizabeth Chep Bardwell (nee McGavin) of Wilson Street, Taringa, Queensland

3 June 1917 - Wounded in action by multiple gunshot wounds which killed him 4 days later.

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
