Corporal Allan Frederick John Tinkler (Service Nos:VX113009/V30450) was in Queensland when he enlisted in the AIF on 21 July 1942. He was a Corporal attached to 4 Field Ambulance when he was Discharged on 20 March 1944.
Born in 1917 in Melbourne Victoria, Allan was the youngest of three children of John Henry Tinkler (b1878 in Melbourne, Victoria) and Annie Ethel Coles (b1876 in Melbourne, Victoria). John (a Linotype Operator) and Annie married in 1902 in Melbourne where they settled and raised their family.
Allan worked as a Clerk in Melbourne and in 1945 married Jessie May Lang (b1918 in Melbourne, Victoria) - Jessie also worked as a Clerk. Allan and Jessie settled in Melbourne where Allan worked as an Agent, Proprietor and Clerical Officer. Jessie died in 1999 and Allan in 2003.
