DEATH OF REV. J. C. RAMSAY
After two months' illness Rev.John Carmlchael -Ramsay, vicar of St. Mary's Anglican parish, Redcliffe, died in St. Martin's Hospital. Mr Ramsay was born In Scotland 62 years ago, and was brought to Australia as a child. He was ordained deacon at Bathurst in 1914 and priest in the following year. During that period he was curate of Cowra, then rector first of Sofaii-cum-Hill End and later of Geurie, all in New South Wales. During 1917 and 1918 ho was an AIF chaplain.He came to Queensland in 1920 as vicar of Gin Gin, serving In a similar capacity subsequently at Harrisville,Clifton, Gatton and Killarney. Mrs Ramsay survives her husband, and there are three daughters and a son, also two sisters, one of whom is Mrs T. J. Rothwell. of Toowong.
